Short trip to Batam Island, Indonesia

Hey there!

Here's a quick update on our recent short trip to Batam Island.

There's really nothing much to do there & we were mostly lazing around at our hotel or visiting the boring malls for food/movies. So, I'll just let the pictures do the talking...

*We stayed at HARRIS resort Batam waterfront, you can read my full review here!

In the ferry, on the way to Batam. Trip took about 40 mins from Harbourfront ferry terminal.

Arrival at Sekupang ferry terminal (it was closer to our resort, but there was absolutely nothing there! Should have chosen to arrive at Batam centre ferry terminal instead, where the malls are located at).

Arrival at our hotel after a light drizzle.

View from hotel lift lobby.

For lunch, we headed off to Nagoya Hill mall, located about 20mins away from our hotel.

First stop, RIA Ayam Penyet.

Food was pretty affordable and delicious at S$9.50 for two.

 The huge but BORING mall.

SGD$2.50 movie ticket on weekday....

 Their signature Root beer float.

Oh I've missed those curly fries from A&W! Pls bring them back to SG!

Not-so-excited about the waffles...

....very pleased!

Waffles at only S$2.50 topped with ice cream & chocolate syrup!

Mee rebus at a restaurant 'Coffee Town' in the mall at only S$1.80!

In the huge Hypermart.

Our 'steals' to stock up for breakfast and lunch in case we got lazy (there's nothing  around our hotel and the hotel's food prices are kind of an extortion)

Magnum ice cream is really a steal there!!

The next day, we spent our morning lazing around & getting a tan by the pool!

Thankfully it was a sunny day!

Having fun with iphone's burst shots!

Just walking on the pool :O

Exploring the beach, which isn't so nice..

Floating on..

Will be busy with sch in till December :(

Looking forward to our next trip already!

With love,
