Part 1 - Las Vegas Trip June 2017
Hello there!
Finally managed to blog about our LV & LA trip back in June!
It was our very first trip flying out of Boise and we were super excited, especially since we were going there to get our very own puppy (something I've always wanted but couldn't as my parents didn't allow)
So here goes... Starting off with LV (it was a short 3 days there)
Mode of transportation: Uber / Lyft (its easily available and prices are very reasonable e.g $13 from airport to Strip, $10 from Strip to Premium outlets ; for one trip we got lucky and took an Audi 😝)
Here's our rough Las Vegas itinerary:
1st night - Roaming around The Strip area (can be quite a long tiring walk if you planned on walking all the way to & fro)
Day 2 - Las Vegas North Premium Outlets
- Fremont Street / Container park + Giant Fire Mantis (Check timings for it)
- Continue with Strip area (too exhausted on the 1st night 😹)
Day 3 - was pretty short as we had to catch our next flight to LA;
Walked around The Strip for breakfast and then we headed to Chinatown plaza and nearby areas to view our puppy :p
Food places in LV (might have missed out some but this is what I can recall 🙊)
- Monta Ramen (really awesome 🍜) / Kungfu tea (just beside one another)
- In-n-out burger (over-rated, should try Shake shack instead)
- Jinya Ramen Bar (Monta ramen is better, but this is still ok)
- Hash House A go go (breakfast is good, and its located at The Linq hotel)
- Rollin Smokes BBQ (for pork ribs)
Haven't tried:
- Ping Pang Pong at Gold Coast Casino, 4000 W Flamingo Rd, 89103 (opens till 3am)
- Ramen Tatsu, 3400 S Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146
- Chang's, 4670 S Decatur Blvd, 89103 (Near Orleans hotel)
- Heart Attack Grill (East Fremont Street)
- Caesar's palace buffet (heard its really good)
Landing into LV
Waiting for our luggages
Checked into our hotel; Flamingo hotel (Location was really good as it was right on the Strip) We took Uber from airport and it was ard $13
Live flamingos right in the hotel 💞💞
This was just right beside our hotel and we decided to explore
In-n-out burger
Honestly, it was a disappointment - Super over-rated and can be missed (we waited quite awhile too as the Q was seriously long)
Fremont Street-
There's live band, zipline above the streets, casinos (of course) and also a Heart attack grill there if you're up for some burgers
Some really cool zipline above the concert
Unfortunately, we missed the Bellagio fountain show..... :(
The last show is at 12midnight; you may wish to check out their timings here
Losing count of the hotels we visited 😮
Such a pretty water fountain
If you've only walked the Strip in the day you MUST see it at night!
The ambience is totally different and all the night lights makes it really pretty! 💖
Jinya Ramen Bar in Vegas (felt that the one in SLC was better though!)
Going crazy at LV North premium outlets (its huge so give it at least half a day... List of stores here
Legs really needed a break so went to Cheesecake factory 🍰
Damage for the day 😙
The next morning, we went to Hash House a gogo - located at the LINQ hotel; heard it was good
When it came we were like...OMG 😲 Tastes pretty good though we only managed to finish like a quarter of it..
And then for lunch, Monta ramennnnnnnn
Really awesomeeeeee~ 😱😱😱
Chinatown area in LV
While waiting for our next flight to LA..
